Awesome music - awesome photos. A great slide show by the Island Lake photographers late in 2011. Wide landscapes, deep powder, steep pitches, open bowls, high alpine and endless trees. Cat skiing at it best.

This past winter Island Lake Catskiing and Mica Heliskiing partnered with award winning Sherpas Cinema to create some spectacular ski and snowboard footage. The Balance of Powder is a 23 minute TV show created for Island lake and Mica. A large portion of the Sherpas full length movie ALL.I.CAN was also filmed at the 2 locations.

Island Lake Catskiing has simply been having an amazing snow year. Over 200 cms of the white stuff has fallen in the last couple of weeks. The consolidated base in the Alpine is around 5.5 metres or 18 feet of snow.
